Berries and Maple

August 04, 2020

As strawberry season drew to a close, the raspberries and blueberries started to ripen. The raspberry and blueberry crops are bountiful this year.

So what do we do with our berries? We eat them raw: for breakfast on yogurt and cereal, for dessert with whipped cream or ice-cream, and all day long by the handful. When we can't eat any more or give them away to neighbors, we freeze them for use in smoothies, oatmeal or for baking in the winter.

We sweeten yogurt and berries by drizzling maple syrup on them.

Or we sprinkle maple sugar on them.
